"Knowledge Report" by Erwin Annau, December 19, 1997

TO: Wise Charter Committee
attn: Kim Cassano, Graham Payne

12/19/97

Report on meeting with Mr. Betz and Mr. Lions [sic] from The AG office, Tampa.

I went with Mr. Steingold, my lawyer.

This is what happened:

  1. Mr. Betz said that there are "MILLIONS of dollars" of refund requests (a so called "green list" at the AG office (verified refund requests) which are unpaid by Cooper/TradeNet.

  2. Mr. Betz said that Cooper has not paid any outstanding commissions.

  3. Both investigators wanted to know where my, Cooper's and Guerrero's money went. He wanted to know the extent of the donations. I told him what I donated, but could not give him an answer about the others. They assume that about 1 million dollars went to the church.

  4. Mr. Betz said that TradeNet donated huge amounts to the church (maybe WISE?) I could not say anything to that since I have not gotten any information.

  5. The investigators wanted to know how they could get the money back from the church and if the church would refund the money.

  6. Mr. Betz asked me if I knew what Cooper did in Connecticut. I have no idea and told him what I knew (he built sail boats). He asked me why Copper [sic] did not sail here in Florida.

  7. Mr. Betz said that Mr. Cooper blames me for the situation in TradeNet.

  8. Mr. Betz wanted the agreement made at the charter Committee which my lawyer will send him. They wanted the contact person at the committee, I gave them Graham Payne.

  9. They did not ask what the church's involvement were or if there was any. For them WISE is the church, although I tried to clarify the difference.
